Due to our take on the game's rules, I'm going to serve as your help guy when it comes to CdE's RP mechanics. I'll start listing some precautions, guidelines and details over in here.
---
- Plot relevant exchanges of dialogue and/or action are to be placed in bold text. This is mostly relevant for trials and investigations, as it's critical to alert the mods to what you'd like feedback on. Bolding important dialogue when talking to an NPC can also get you helpful responses! Once you get accustomed, I'm sure you can exchange bold text with members on a normal basis!
Ex. A-ko dashed through the West Wing, determined to scour each and every room for the possible presence of a murder weapon. After everyone had decided to throw nearly every dangerous object into the furnace, she wondered how it could be possible for a murder to take place. Heading inside the Master Bedroom, she immediately began to search the bedding for any blunt objects.
"So, we know that B-suke was clubbed to death with something smooth, right? He died instantly from a blow to the head, since if it was anything less we would have heard some noise from a struggle! After all, he died in the Library. The Master Bedroom was the only place where anyone could have accessed at the time to hide something that could do such a thing!"
That's when C-ne spoke up in a rather calm tone
"A-ko... are we absolutely sure? We have no proof that the clubbing is what killed B-suke, or at least we have no proof that he was killed when he was awake." she stated, but continued to preen over the covers. "They said that his eyes were shut when he died, and that he was completely limp... who is to say that the killer didn't just use a throw pillow to choke him out first? That would have been relatively quiet."
"No, that's wrong." retorted A-ko, rather belligerently. "There aren't any throw pillows or other soft objects in the library outside of the sofa cushions, which are way too firm to smother somebody with. How could the killer have returned a pillow casually back to a room without anyone seeing? Didn't D-taro say he was in the foyer at the time? Lots of people passed by, and no one was holding anything suspicious!"

- Free time events! If you want to increase your character's friendship with another, feel free to stage an event with them in an uninterrupted thread. Be sure to tag the other person and to stay in a single area!
---
- Murderers and victims. These two are randomly generated each chapter, and we apologize, but the story's over for you if your character dies. We conduct these events in the fairest possible way, and make sure it's high-stakes for every person involved. If your character is chosen to be a murderer or a victim, you will be messaged by a moderator and together we will work out what happens at the scene of a crime. Some time before a murder occurs, characters will be given a motive in order to stir up tension.
---
- Investigations! Investigations typically last from 1-3 IRL days, and you will be notified some time beforehand. When you check an area, a moderator may send you a PM about what your character walked in on! These will become the Truth Bullets you can use during a trial, which will be presented to you before a trial begins. More investigation details will surface as we draw closer to one.
- Trials!
